The National Children and Young People’s Diabetes Network has launched a new website providing information and resources for healthcare professionals and families with diabetes. The Network’s aim is to achieve better outcomes for children and young people (CYP) with type 1 diabetes and their families by addressing the lack of a standardised approach to their healthcare.
The Network comprises ten regional CYP networks in England and the Children and Young People’s Wales Diabetes Network. Supported by an extended group of national and international stakeholders, the Network is working with the Department of Health to develop a five-year plan to improve the quality and safety of care.
The website, which was officially launched at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference in London, can be found here.
