A highly-anticipated update to the NICE guidelines for management of type 2 diabetes in adults has just been released. But how have the recommendations for care changed? What are the implications for healthcare professionals in primary care? And most importantly, what does this mean for people living with diabetes?
We are delighted to invite you to watch this webinar on-demand, “PCDS Question Time – NG28- Nice Guidance” originally broadcast on Tuesday 8th March at 7pm-8pm, where Dr Naresh Kanumilli (GP with Specialist Interest in Diabetes and Clinical Network Lead for Diabetes, Manchester) will summarise the changes made in the latest guidelines. The impact of these changes will then be the subject of discussion by our multidisciplinary panel: Hannah Beba (Consultant Pharmacist in Diabetes, Leeds), Jane Diggle (Specialist Diabetes Nurse Practitioner), and Dr Stephen Lawrence (GP with Special Interest, Kent; Associate Clinical Professor, Warwick University Medical School), chaired by Dr Kanumilli. The panel explores how the update compares to guidelines in current use in primary care, and offer practical guidance on how to implement the changes in your practice.
