The Virtual PCDS SMART Update is a series of complimentary broadcasts running in May and June this year. They are designed for healthcare professionals based in primary care, with the aim of helping them gain a deeper understanding of recent clinical evidence in order to improve the care of people with type 2 diabetes.
Each 30–40-minute broadcast will discuss the importance of taking a patient-centred approach when considering medicines optimisation in primary care, and will also include the opportunity for you to submit questions for a live Q&A session with the speakers.
The broadcast topics are:

- Managing CVD risk in type 2 diabetes
- Implementing CVOT data in the real world
- Joined-up strategies for managing cardiac, renal and metabolic complications in type 2 diabetes
