Now in its fifth year, the Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes programme continues to offer healthcare teams the opportunity to have their initiatives and projects recognised, rewarded and shared throughout the NHS and wider diabetes community. A QiC award means that an individual’s or team’s work can be fully acknowledged as improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes.
Entries are being accepted for initiatives and programmes that were launched between January 2010 and December 2014. And this year there are three new additions to the list of categories:
- “Best initiative in specialized services”
- “Best peer-to-peer support initiative”
- “Best initiative to reduce variation in diabetes care”
The closing date for the 2015 awards is Thursday 28 May, with entries accepted up till 5 pm on that day. The winners will be announced on Thursday 15 October.
