Participating in the Patient Experience of Diabetes Services survey

The Patient Experience of Diabetes Services (PEDS) survey is part of the National Diabetes Audit. It will measure patient experiences in primary care and specialist services.

PEDS is testing an online approach to collecting information from people with diabetes about their care, using a short validated questionnaire. Any diabetes service in England and Wales will be able to use the PEDS survey to get feedback from their patients.

Your participation in the pilot will help us test whether using an online questionnaire is a viable option and will provide you will valuable feedback on what your patients think about your diabetes service.

In order to ensure that we have a confirmed record of your interest and that you are kept informed of how to participate in the pilot, you need to create a PEDS online account. In order to do this, you need to:

  • Go to www.hscic.gov.uk/PEDS.
  • Under ’How to participate‘, click on the PEDS User Registration Form.
  • Complete the form, following instructions.

This online account will also give you access to how many questionnaires have been completed for your service, once the PEDS survey goes live.

If you have any general queries, please email enquiries@hscic.gov.uk.
