Book review: Life without Diabetes, by Professor Roy Taylor

This occasional series reviews books that people with diabetes may be reading to help them self-manage their condition. These reviews are not designed to encourage clinicians to recommend any of these programmes; rather, they share what is being recommended in the books so that we can better understand what we may do to support people if they choose to follow the diets or programmes. This book is based on the important Diabetes REmission Clinical Trial (DiRECT) and contains useful information to help readers understand how type 2 diabetes develops and how remission may be achieved.
