Diabetes In Children And Young People – Part 3. Education, Diet And Lifestyle​

This PCDS module has been created for primary care healthcare professionals wishing to learn about diabetes in children and young people. Learning objectives Appreciate the importance of age-specific education and encouraging children and young people to follow a healthy lifestyle. Know the signs, symptoms and management of hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia. Be familiar with the comorbidities and complications that might be associated with diabetes children and young people. Be better able to support children and young people with diabetes and their families alongside specialist teams in secondary care. This module is not intended to empower the management of children with diabetes in primary care.
